Streamline your workflow and make your systems work harder

Managing your database can be time-consuming and costly, and it can be hard to know where savings can be made. Priority IT’s diagnostic service includes an in-depth examination of your current systems, databases and processes to establish the best way to make valuable savings and improvements. We’ll then do the necessary programming and development work for you – often in a surprisingly short time.

Example 1: streamlining a costly and time-consuming process

One of our clients employed a full-time member of staff to print a report from a customer’s extranet then input the data into their own system.

We created an application to extract the data and post it directly into our client’s system. This small import application has saved our client around six hours a day, for a one-off cost of around £5,000.

Example 2: developing valuable functionality

Another client – a local garage – was reliant on a 10-year-old Microsoft Access database, searchable only by customer name.

It took us just one hour to adapt the database to become searchable by vehicle registration number. As well as saving the garage valuable time, this simple tweak has enabled them to provide their customers with significantly better service.

We also highlighted the business benefits of making better use of other aspects of the database, and are now developing a function that will issue MOT and service reminders.
