Walton is a large civil engineering company, based in Somerset. Established for 30 years, they had reached a crossroads with their computer system, and realised they needed to work in partnership with a proactive IT support company to address the weaknesses in their system.

Our solution

Our initial brief was to review their computer system and bespoke applications, and to report our findings to the directors of the business.

We created an IT strategy based on Walton’s aims and objectives, and prioritised key improvements to their systems. We act as a virtual IT department – providing ongoing, proactive IT support and advice, having regular meetings with the team, and providing application and database development to help the company grow.

In our client’s words…

“Kieran Thomas has provided our IT support for around 13 years, and his involvement in our business has directly contributed to the company’s growth,” says Andy Walton, the company’s Joint Managing Director.

“IT is vital to our business. As Walton has evolved and grown, Kieran’s IT support has evolved and grown with us. When he first started working with us, our turnover was around £1 million. Now it’s around £12 million.

“When Kieran set up Priority IT, we became one of the company’s first clients. We rely on their support to enable our business to continue to grow, and to keep things running smoothly on a daily basis.

“Priority IT have a sound understanding of our business, and we have regular development meetings with Kieran to look at all areas of our system with a view to developing and improving our business.

“They tell us what hardware we need to invest in, they source everything at the best available price, and they fit it all for us. What’s more, they’re always at the end of the phone when things go wrong.

“Our relationship with Priority IT is very much a partnership, based on logical thinking, knowledge of the way we work, and a personal touch that’s all too rare in business today.

“As well as an expert knowledge of technology, Priority IT have a firm grasp of the ways in which business is changing, and how computer systems can support growth. They’ve helped us get where we are today.”
